Very effective and interesting A1 German course. I can highly recommend classes with our teacher Elly, professional, motivated, willing to teach others, full of energy and ready to answer any of our questions. Looking forward to A2 course !
I had a German A1 course in Vox, with Yelyzaveta Berezovska as a teacher. I am very satisfied with Elly's teaching approach. She was paying attention to each student's progress and helped us overcome the difficulties that we had with the material. The classes were structured well with short repetitions of the previously learned material, then learning new material, summarising what we had learned at the end of each class, and setting homework assignments. Besides following the workbook, there were a lot of interactive exercises that Elly had prepared herself, that challenged us to practice what we had learned. Also a lot of out of the book homework in addition. I had the feeling that I was progressing after each class. The workbook "Sprachniveau A1+ Begegnungen, Deutsch als Fremdsprache" by Anne Buscha and Szilvia Szita we used in the class was structured and thought through extremely well. What I like about the school is that there is an option to visit the classes online. This is really convenient not to miss classes when traveling. The online courses worked surprisingly well, as the school classrooms are equipped for online teaching as well and Elly was making sure that you feel like you are really in the classroom. The team in Vox was really collaborative and helpful. The location of the school on Central was very convenient.

Es ist ein Unterricht, der Spass macht und wo ich mich gut aufgehoben fühle. Gerne empfehle ich die Vox Sprachenschule weiter.

For a number of years I have tried many different schools and teachers. With Vox and Yana (the best German teacher I’ve ever had), I now enjoy learning it. Highly recommend the private lessons for professional who want to have flexibility but still effective lessons.

My wife and I took online private lessons at Vox. Our sole aim was to pass the B1 Goethe test in all modules. Yvonne Vogt was our teacher and she was simply brilliant! Yvonne ordered the right materials for us starting from the textbooks to exercises to model exams. She even conducted mock exams for us on the hearing and speaking modules. Both my wife and I passed all modules with high scores. Thank you Yvonne and Vox!
Though the price is higher than many other schools, the smaller class sizes and high quality of teachers make it worth it! The course scheduling is flexible and fits my working schedule well. Each teacher is different but I have had only good experiences in my A2 and B1 courses. Teachers are happy to receive feedback to help you learn in the way that is best for you.

If you are ready to sit your first intermediate level exam for German, then this course is for you. This course is also perfect for those who want to gain Swiss citizenship and need to prove that they have B1-level speaking skills or for your C-permit.
In this course, you will progress from a basic to an independent user of German and you will be able to deal with most daily situations in German. Your experienced teacher will help you to improve your language skills and also develop strategies for tackling the different parts of the exam. Our classes are small (3-5 people). This small size means your teacher can adapt to you and your needs.
