I am so glad that I ended up with Evgeniya as my German teacher! Her lessons were really clear, very well structured and prepared, and thoughtfully tailored to my level and goals. She has an incredible way of explaining things and guiding me to understand my mistakes when speaking—I also particularly loved the warm-up poem readings and tongue twisters! Her patience, encouragement, and deep knowledge made a huge difference in my learning progress, especially when you’re learning a challenging language like German. I didn’t have the best experience when I first started—group classes and the first teacher just weren’t a good fit for me—but once I was switched to individual lessons with Evgeniya, everything changed for the better! I felt motivated, supported, and today feel like I truly progressed with my B2 level. I highly recommend taking your German classes at VOX. And even more so I recommend requesting Alexander Lips as your teacher. Over the last year or so I've taken a few classes with Alexander (B1, B2, C1) and I've waited to make a review as I've been gate keeping his greatness. He is the best language instructor I've ever had and the most passionate. It is hard to stay motivated to study a language and it's hard to attend an evening course after work. But this isn't the case in Alexander's class. His expertise is inspiring. The course was completely tailored to our goals and our motivations. We explored poetry, books and presentations, all of which was frankly fun and enriching. We learned grammar, practiced speaking and reading, all while learning about history and art. I can also say I've read two books in German now which is super satisfying and it also gives me more to talk about to my friends in German. If anything I wish I had more time to learn and take advantage of Alexander's great instruction. Another very unique skill of Alexander's is his deep understanding of etymology and applying the skill to make words stick in your mind. He can break down words into components to then make connections to others words, languages, history, or stories. He shows the patterns to look for to do the same. There are words I'll never forget because he took the time to really give us the depth of the word. Such a talent to have! Huge thank you to VOX for such great organization and a huge thank you to Alexander for all the work and care he puts in his instruction. So, if you've read to here you should really go register already for a course!
I had online German course B2 level . There were only 3 people in our class, so I had a lot more chance to talk in German. My teacher Isabel was very professional and friendly, I would definitely recommend her for the lesson. She always gave us the homeworks and sent us back correted answer quickly which helped me a lot as well. It costs quite a lot, but as there are not many students in a class, so it was worth it. Unfortunately, there was no administrations office in Winterthur branch, so it seems all enquries are done only with email or the telephone. But Administrative person calling me back in a short time.

I'd especially like to recommend Mr Botchkarev as a teacher to people who think they are bad at learning languages. I started my German language learning journey with Vox Language School as a complete beginner. I took an A1 group course with Solange, which helped me so much to get started in German and allowed me to delve into the fundamentals of German (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation). Currently, I am taking individual lessons from Tatiana, tailored to my language needs. We are working on more advanced grammar rules, vocabulary and also specific strategies to pass TELC B1 exam. Overall, my experience with Vox is outstanding, especially with individual lessons, I can swiftly progress and learn whatever I need to achieve my language goals. Teacher Isabelle is so far the best german teacher among all the ones I've ever met! I have been struggled so much with complex grammer and vocabularies in B1 german course, but with Isabelle, especially thanks to her thorough and detailed way of teaching, it has been so much fun and very motivating! You will be surprised how engaging and committing she is with students. Vox also provides all the infra we need to learn without any obstacles. Big fan of Vox. I attended 3 courses here so far, and plan on attending more. Location is great, teachers are very knowledgeable and a lot of them have a background in linguistics. The class size is the great, I usually had 3 or 4 people in my classes.
