I couldn't be happier with my A1 online German course with VOX! The team has been enormously professional and responsive, providing great support all through the course. And my instructor, Maria...WOW!! As a former educator, I've been extremely impressed by her level of knowledge AND her ability to explain every single question clearly and completely. Maria is a seriously talented German teacher--ask for her, though I'm sure VOX has a full team of great teachers to offer. FIVE GOLD STARS for my A1 German course with VOX. I had a German A1 course in Vox, with Yelyzaveta Berezovska as a teacher. I am very satisfied with Elly's teaching approach. She was paying attention to each student's progress and helped us overcome the difficulties that we had with the material. The classes were structured well with short repetitions of the previously learned material, then learning new material, summarising what we had learned at the end of each class, and setting homework assignments. Besides following the workbook, there were a lot of interactive exercises that Elly had prepared herself, that challenged us to practice what we had learned. Also a lot of out of the book homework in addition. I had the feeling that I was progressing after each class. The workbook "Sprachniveau A1+ Begegnungen, Deutsch als Fremdsprache" by Anne Buscha and Szilvia Szita we used in the class was structured and thought through extremely well. What I like about the school is that there is an option to visit the classes online. This is really convenient not to miss classes when traveling. The online courses worked surprisingly well, as the school classrooms are equipped for online teaching as well and Elly was making sure that you feel like you are really in the classroom. The team in Vox was really collaborative and helpful. The location of the school on Central was very convenient.

I enjoy all of my German lessons and I feel like I am advancing quite fast! The teacher, Maxi, is excellent. He is very thorough and has a vast knowledge of linguistics. I can only recommend VOX-Sprachschule Zürich! Update from 2 years later - I just got my B2 Goethe certificate: I could not have done it with the excellent support of Yvonne, who is an excellent teacher.
For me Andreas Freihoff is a very professional guy. His class is very interesting and he shares with us important things. I have already learned a lot. I would recommend him to every other person.
My experience with VOX was fantastic. I did a 2 month private online course with Isabel and I was amazed at how much I actually learned in such a short time. She is a very skilled teacher and the lessons were always relaxed and friendly. When I struggled with some of the concepts she was able to really explain the intricate details In an easy way that really helped me progress and really understand what I was learning. Last spring I enrolled to the B1 German course in a team of five and Alexander Lips as our teacher. I am very happy with my decision and I can definitely recommend it. Alexander is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge and experience. He was very supportive throughout the course and he always encouraged me to speak more and corrected my mistakes in a constructive way. He also gave me useful tips and tricks on how to pronounce words correctly and how to avoid common errors. He made the lessons fun and engaging by using different materials and activities. Alexander also explained the grammar rules clearly and thoroughly. He used simple and easy-to-understand examples to illustrate the concepts and showed me how to apply them in different contexts. He also provided me with exercises and homework to practice what I learned and to reinforce my knowledge. He always checked my answers and gave me feedback on how to improve them. Our teacher was also very flexible and responsive to our needs. He asked us what our goals and expectations were at the beginning of the course and tailored the lessons accordingly. He also regularly asked us if we had any questions or suggestions and adjusted the pace and content of the lessons based on our feedback. I would highly recommend this German course to anyone who wants to learn or improve their German skills. Alexander is a professional and great teacher who knows how to teach the language effectively and enjoyably.
