I did the online Zoom VOX German A1 course and I am glad I did. I learned a lot from the course and despite my initial reservations in paying to do the course I am very glad I did because I learned a lot more this way. The teacher Alice was excellent throughout and always on hand to help out; she explained things clearly and was lways open to questions . What I thought was very good was she emails us the lesson in a pdf after the lesson and I have the 24 lessons we did and I can easily go back through the material easily again. When I am ready, I will do my A2 with Vox again and hopefully the same teacher, Alice.
I am so glad that I ended up with Evgeniya as my German teacher! Her lessons were really clear, very well structured and prepared, and thoughtfully tailored to my level and goals. She has an incredible way of explaining things and guiding me to understand my mistakes when speaking—I also particularly loved the warm-up poem readings and tongue twisters! Her patience, encouragement, and deep knowledge made a huge difference in my learning progress, especially when you’re learning a challenging language like German. I didn’t have the best experience when I first started—group classes and the first teacher just weren’t a good fit for me—but once I was switched to individual lessons with Evgeniya, everything changed for the better! I felt motivated, supported, and today feel like I truly progressed with my B2 level. Highly recommend Evgeniya and also VOX Schule, who really went above and beyond in ensuring that I had a great and valuable learning experience! THANK YOU!

I just finished my A2 course and I’m starting my B1 course today. VOX Schule is the best language school in town!! The location is very convenient. The class sizes are small and manageable. This is an excellent language school. I was looking for a flexible program that could accommodate my work and travel schedule, and yet allow me to gain a working knowledge of German fairly quickly. The staff at VOX-sprachschule were incredibly cooperative and helpful. With their assistance I was able to find the right level and schedule for lessons. In my case this was private lessons via video. But am sure the group lessons are excellent as well. The teaching materials and the quality of instruction is really superb. I am especially pleased with my instructor, Isabelle Wegmüller, who is very knowledgeable, patient and fun. I am making good progress and expect to continue on with my lessons for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend this language school.

VOX Sprachschule and their teachers (shout out to Priska who has been my tutor) have always ensured that the courses I have taken were tailored to my needs, with focus on the areas that were most important to me, and always at times that suit me well. This has helped my German and Swiss German language skills tremendously.
My 14 year old daughter Sophia had great 1:1 lessons for a week before beginning a small group course for a month. The teachers were great and really helped improve her German!
I initially selected VOX from among a handful of recommended language schools in Zurich because of its broad course offering. But I’ve stayed with VOX because of my incredible teacher, Isabelle. She took me from having absolutely zero knowledge of the German language to passing my A1 exam (which I needed as a condition of my visa to remain in Switzerland) in three months during our small group A1 course (which covered all of A1 and included supplementary test prep material). After completing this group course, I have continued taking individual lessons with Isabelle, completing A2, and am currently working through B1. I would highly recommend VOX, especially Isabelle – she is incredibly professional, has a very effective teaching method, and is patient but also knows when to push you ahead.
