Had the best learning experience here! Was very lucky to be assigned to class of 2 students (including me) and have Kenny as my teacher here for my A1 class who make each class so fun and not as hard as i thought (not to mention he studies linguistic and multiple languange too, so he's super knowledgable and knows how to explain things from different POV of languanges). Location of the school is very strategic, only 7-8 mins walking distance from station. Classroom always tidy and nice. Love!
The methodology, which is based on speaking, is very successful in the learning process. I took two levels of German at this School and I noticed quick progress. During this time I had 5 teachers and all of them were amazing!! their explanations were very clear and thanks to them, it was easier to improve my German.
I just finished my A2 course and I’m starting my B1 course today. VOX Schule is the best language school in town!! The location is very convenient. The class sizes are small and manageable. I highly recommend taking your German classes at VOX. And even more so I recommend requesting Alexander Lips as your teacher. Over the last year or so I've taken a few classes with Alexander (B1, B2, C1) and I've waited to make a review as I've been gate keeping his greatness. He is the best language instructor I've ever had and the most passionate. It is hard to stay motivated to study a language and it's hard to attend an evening course after work. But this isn't the case in Alexander's class. His expertise is inspiring. The course was completely tailored to our goals and our motivations. We explored poetry, books and presentations, all of which was frankly fun and enriching. We learned grammar, practiced speaking and reading, all while learning about history and art. I can also say I've read two books in German now which is super satisfying and it also gives me more to talk about to my friends in German. If anything I wish I had more time to learn and take advantage of Alexander's great instruction. Another very unique skill of Alexander's is his deep understanding of etymology and applying the skill to make words stick in your mind. He can break down words into components to then make connections to others words, languages, history, or stories. He shows the patterns to look for to do the same. There are words I'll never forget because he took the time to really give us the depth of the word. Such a talent to have! Huge thank you to VOX for such great organization and a huge thank you to Alexander for all the work and care he puts in his instruction.
