I initially selected VOX from among a handful of recommended language schools in Zurich because of its broad course offering. But I’ve stayed with VOX because of my incredible teacher, Isabelle. She took me from having absolutely zero knowledge of the German language to passing my A1 exam (which I needed as a condition of my visa to remain in Switzerland) in three months during our small group A1 course (which covered all of A1 and included supplementary test prep material). After completing this group course, I have continued taking individual lessons with Isabelle, completing A2, and am currently working through B1. I would highly recommend VOX, especially Isabelle – she is incredibly professional, has a very effective teaching method, and is patient but also knows when to push you ahead.

I am American and was on vacation when I recently took a month of biweekly B1 German classes with VOX school in Zurich. It was a LOVELY experience. I enjoyed the diversity of students, and my teacher, Isabelle, Wegmuller, was absolutely exceptional. She had very original and creative ways of presenting new material and engaging the students. She has an astounding grasp of Hoch Deutsch and a vast well of knowledge about so many different things. The time past so quickly, too quickly, and I learned a lot in just a short period of time. I highly recommend this school, and Isabelle, if you can get her. Well done, VOX and Isabelle.

I have tried other schools before but I felt confident to start speaking in Vox-Sprachschule lessons. I really took advantage of the learning time trying to comunicate in German. That was possible thanks to Polina, an amazing teacher, super dinamic, with strong focus on speaking and without loosing the joy and fun while learning. Also the school is very flexible to attend students needs. Unspected, i needed to change shifts and there was an option so they solved it really fast. I would really like to continue my learning there!

I had the pleasure of attending both a group course and individual private lesson with Vox Sprache. In both cases, I had the opportunity to practise and improve my speaking skills. There is difference between learning theory and actually articulating the language. I like to share that my private lessons with Isabelle have been such a positive experience. She prepared and tailored the lessons specifically for my needs. She was consistently attentive to help me improve my language skills. As a result of this experience, I feel more comfortable communicating with native speakers and better prepared for my B1 mündlichen Prüfung. Beim Intensivkurs gibt es 3 Unterrichtsstunden à 120 Minuten pro Woche, aber die Studentinnen/Studenten sollen viele Lernstunden zwischen den Unterrichtsstunden einplanen. Im Unterricht werden die Grammatikregeln wiederholt, Übungen zum Textverständnis und Hörverständnis durchgeführt und die Aussprache verbessert. Die Lehrerin vergibt jeweils schriftliche oder mündliche Aufgaben für die ganze Klasse, aber, wenn Man große Schwierigkeiten mit bestimmten Themen hat, wird ihm auch bei einzelnen Aufgaben geholfen. I couldn't be happier with my A1 online German course with VOX! The team has been enormously professional and responsive, providing great support all through the course. And my instructor, Maria...WOW!! As a former educator, I've been extremely impressed by her level of knowledge AND her ability to explain every single question clearly and completely. Maria is a seriously talented German teacher--ask for her, though I'm sure VOX has a full team of great teachers to offer. FIVE GOLD STARS for my A1 German course with VOX. I took the standard B1 level class (Dienstag und Donnerstag Abendkurs) with Elena. She was a wonderful teacher and taught the grammar rules in a way I really understood. She also consistently corrected my Aussprache, which I appreciated (strong American accent here). Moreover, I was thankful for her help with my special request to prepare me for the Telc B1 test. Furthermore, I liked the availability of the Abendkurs (19:30-21:00) because I was able to attend after work. The standard class also covered a lot of material in 3 months. I recommend it if you can dedicate a generous amount of time to study.

Our experience with VOX Language School has been nothing short of amazing. We enrolled for an A2 German course in February and it was the best decision we made. Tri, our teacher has been super patient, always asking us for feedback and constantly adjusting the course to our level and needs. He has provided us with a lot of resources to practice German, on top of the book and I really enjoy his teaching method. The communication with everyone at the school has been great! I would recommend this school to anyone looking to learn a new language or improve their current level.
