It’s May, and that means one of the best times of year is coming. We are looking forward to meeting friends, exploring nature and new places and going on some adventures! If you’re looking for some inspiration on what to do in Zurich and around, then check out our list below!
Yoko Ono’s Exhibition at Kunsthaus
Yoko Ono’s performances and actions of the 1960s and 1970s have achieved cult status. Some of them will be performed and exhibited at the Kunsthaus Zürich. The artist is personally involved in the exhibition’s conception.
Parks and Gardens
Zurich is home to around 70 parks and green areas, which offer places for people to meet, relax and enjoy themselves and their food. There are lots of benches, trees, and grassy spots for a picnic or gathering with friends.
Zurich Cycle Week
Zurich Cycle Week takes place on 12 – 15 May and is situated around Europaallee. There are lots more events to take part in, too! If you want to volunteer to help out, sign up here – it is a great way to make new friends and practice German.

Take a train trip a traditional train from Zweisimmen to Montreux: Belle Époque Train, or a trip through the Swiss Grand Canyon an open car train: Erlebniszug.
In the Forest Exhibition
Check out the new exhibition at the Landesmuseum about our relationship with the forest through representation in literature and art: once exaggerated by the romantics as a safe haven from civilization, artists’ depictions of the forest are today dominated by the subject of climate change.
Monet’s Immersive Garden
Monet’s Immersive Garden is a 360-degree experiential journey through the life and work of one of the greatest artists of the last century. Illusions transform into reality before the viewers’ eyes, transporting the audience to the heart of Monet’s garden.
Man’s World Zurich 2022
What is on show? The exhibition will provide a glimpse of the latest technology and lifestyle gadgets and gizmos. There will be 100+ new and exciting high-quality products to experience!
Fantasy Basel
FANTASY BASEL – The Swiss Comic Con 2022 will once again take place in May. A day or more there is always a delight, with artists displaying their talent, interviews with actors and cosplay contests.
