Last spring I enrolled to the B1 German course in a team of five and Alexander Lips as our teacher. I am very happy with my decision and I can definitely recommend it. Alexander is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge and experience. He was very supportive throughout the course and he always encouraged me to speak more and corrected my mistakes in a constructive way. He also gave me useful tips and tricks on how to pronounce words correctly and how to avoid common errors. He made the lessons fun and engaging by using different materials and activities. Alexander also explained the grammar rules clearly and thoroughly. He used simple and easy-to-understand examples to illustrate the concepts and showed me how to apply them in different contexts. He also provided me with exercises and homework to practice what I learned and to reinforce my knowledge. He always checked my answers and gave me feedback on how to improve them. Our teacher was also very flexible and responsive to our needs. He asked us what our goals and expectations were at the beginning of the course and tailored the lessons accordingly. I came to this school with 0 knowledge of German. I was very nervous at the beginning but the teachers at this school are so welcoming and really make you feel at ease. I especially find Christina's teaching approach really great and feel Ive learnt so much in her classes (both private and joint classes). I couldn't recommend this school enough!

I am American and was on vacation when I recently took a month of biweekly B1 German classes with VOX school in Zurich. It was a LOVELY experience. I enjoyed the diversity of students, and my teacher, Isabelle, Wegmuller, was absolutely exceptional. She had very original and creative ways of presenting new material and engaging the students. She has an astounding grasp of Hoch Deutsch and a vast well of knowledge about so many different things. The time past so quickly, too quickly, and I learned a lot in just a short period of time. I highly recommend this school, and Isabelle, if you can get her. Well done, VOX and Isabelle.

I had a fantastic experience learning with Lise Schaller and Sara Alves Penteado, both in-person and online for my A2 and B1 packages. Both teachers are very friendly and always make you feel comfortable. Each lesson is well-planned, curated, and offers high value for money. Sara teaches online and her notes are very clear, organised and easy to follow. Both teachers draw and use color-coding, which makes the concepts very easy to understand. If you want to get a strong understanding, it is excellent!
