Enrolled on the intensive German course and it has been great fun. Learnt a lot more quickly than I was expecting. The small class format and focus on speaking has really made a difference. The teacher Ruben has been great and is always able to explain concepts in a way that make them more understandable and helps with learning. I took a month long intensive B1 German course at VOX and it was the best experience I have had so far in my German learning! The class was small and personalised in a very convenient location in downtown Zurich. My teacher, Suzannah Higgs, was knowledgable, engaging and truly cared about my progression. I really noticed a difference in my level of comprehension and speech by the end of the course. I couldn't recommend it enough!
I initially selected VOX from among a handful of recommended language schools in Zurich because of its broad course offering. But I’ve stayed with VOX because of my incredible teacher, Isabelle. She took me from having absolutely zero knowledge of the German language to passing my A1 exam (which I needed as a condition of my visa to remain in Switzerland) in three months during our small group A1 course (which covered all of A1 and included supplementary test prep material). After completing this group course, I have continued taking individual lessons with Isabelle, completing A2, and am currently working through B1. I would highly recommend VOX, especially Isabelle – she is incredibly professional, has a very effective teaching method, and is patient but also knows when to push you ahead.

In our Telc Deutsch A1 exam preparation course you will not only learn the basics of German, but also prepare for the exam. This exam preparation course will cover all parts of the exam: reading, listening, writing and speaking, while also familiarising you with the structure of each section using materials specifically adapted to exam preparation. Your teacher will supplement the exam preparation with materials to improve your vocabulary and grammar.

Our small class sizes (3-5 people) enable you to get lots of speaking practice to boost your confidence and make the grammar stick.
