I did the online B1 course. I liked the materials and the process but the course is quite intensive (3 times/week by 1.5h) so it needs a lot of studying as well. I would highly recommend it.
As someone with learning difficulties I find languages very difficult. I have private lessons in person and Fabian, my teacher, has helped so much in all aspects of my German. Being a teacher at VOX is a very rich and joyful experience. The VOX method allows the students to get to meet a language from one of the most important sides of it – speaking. Back in the days, when I was learning English and French, a method such as the VOX-method would have helped me a lot and I would have loved to get to know it earlier. I initially selected VOX from among a handful of recommended language schools in Zurich because of its broad course offering. But I’ve stayed with VOX because of my incredible teacher, Isabelle. She took me from having absolutely zero knowledge of the German language to passing my A1 exam (which I needed as a condition of my visa to remain in Switzerland) in three months during our small group A1 course (which covered all of A1 and included supplementary test prep material). After completing this group course, I have continued taking individual lessons with Isabelle, completing A2, and am currently working through B1. I would highly recommend VOX, especially Isabelle – she is incredibly professional, has a very effective teaching method, and is patient but also knows when to push you ahead.
