German Advanced Courses at Zurich Central in Small Groups

I am very happy with the teaching method of this school. Before I started to learn German with this method, I had been learning German already two years. Nevertheless I didn't feel power to communicate, not even talking about passing the exam in order to receive permit C. And with the method of this school I only needed one and a half months and I passed the exam with 85% out of 100%. I started to talk to people. I started to understand cases and genders. Rules of the German language no longer scare me. It all became like a game for me. And my learning now goes on, ones you understand the method, you can continue learning all the time. I recommend this school very much. And if I decide to learn some other language more, I will absolutely go only to this language school.

For me Andreas Freihoff is a very professional guy. His class is very interesting and he shares with us important things. I have already learned a lot. I would recommend him to every other person.

My wife and I took online private lessons at Vox. Our sole aim was to pass the B1 Goethe test in all modules. Yvonne Vogt was our teacher and she was simply brilliant! Yvonne ordered the right materials for us starting from the textbooks to exercises to model exams. She even conducted mock exams for us on the hearing and speaking modules. Both my wife and I passed all modules with high scores. Thank you Yvonne and Vox!

Very small group class and lots of interaction with a teacher. It is great opportunity not only improving your language skills, but also communication skills and meet amazing people. Whenever you have questions you always can easily reach to your teacher. If you are looking for a lot of interaction in a class and would like to improve your communication skill, this is the best school for that!

I had the chance to try two different German schools in Zurich, each with its own pricing and approach. Although both were good in their respective segments, I found Vox especially impressive for its pleasant learning environment and excellent facilities. From the start, I was supported by Maria, who made my onboarding smooth and welcoming. Later, I had the privilege of learning with Professor Alexander, who truly goes above and beyond for his students. He makes learning fun and engaging, adapting his methods to ensure everyone understands. What really stood out to me about this school is that you genuinely feel they care about their students and are not just running a business. For example, there were times I couldn’t attend class, and Alexander kindly offered one-on-one sessions to help me keep up with my classmates. Overall, I highly recommend Vox to anyone looking for a supportive, student-focused German learning experience in Zurich.

I have tried other schools before but I felt confident to start speaking in Vox-Sprachschule lessons. I really took advantage of the learning time trying to comunicate in German. That was possible thanks to Polina, an amazing teacher, super dinamic, with strong focus on speaking and without loosing the joy and fun while learning. Also the school is very flexible to attend students needs. Unspected, i needed to change shifts and there was an option so they solved it really fast. I would really like to continue my learning there!

Review from my partner Kathleen Izzat I do feel that I am moving towards my goals with this language course and there is enough speaking practice. The lessons are interesting and Priska is very friendly and patient, often encouraging the students to find or to work out the correct answer by ourselves initially, then using help from co-students before stepping in to assist and advise. We are given plenty of relevant, everyday examples of the language in use and are supported well when we try to use German to describe our own experiences and thoughts. Looking back through the course book I can see that the new information being provided very cleverly flows throughout each chapter, as well as from chapter to chapter - it’s a well written course book. I would however, as a memory aid, prefer the book to be more colourful (for example, as in Hueber’s Schritte plus series) but that’s just my own preference. It’s not a problem though and it forces me to make my own notes, but that does take up a lot of home time on this intensive course. Overall though I am very pleased with this course
