I took the standard B1 level class (Dienstag und Donnerstag Abendkurs) with Elena. She was a wonderful teacher and taught the grammar rules in a way I really understood. She also consistently corrected my Aussprache, which I appreciated (strong American accent here). Moreover, I was thankful for her help with my special request to prepare me for the Telc B1 test. Furthermore, I liked the availability of the Abendkurs (19:30-21:00) because I was able to attend after work. The standard class also covered a lot of material in 3 months. I have been going to vox from A2 High German to C1. After this course it was important for me to integrate more into the Swiss German language. I started taking private courses in swiss German and after a couple months I am starting to speak and type in swiss German to my colleagues at work which has brought about a positive impact in all of our relationships. My initial goal, even in A2, was to integrate better into swiss culture and I feel much more accepted when I try to speak swiss German even when it's not perfect. The language is not easy, but I have really enjoyed learning and practicing with my colleagues and friends. With the private tutor I am able to be very flexible with my schedule. If I have business trips we skip a week, or we can move days around as required. So overall I have had a very great and positive experience at Vox and have already recommended to 4 of my friends who are also expats to take the same courses.

She explains grammars and vocabularies to understand better from our perspective and just makes it easier for us to learn. She's always supportive and really cares about the students to improve. My wife and I took online private lessons at Vox. Our sole aim was to pass the B1 Goethe test in all modules. Yvonne Vogt was our teacher and she was simply brilliant! Yvonne ordered the right materials for us starting from the textbooks to exercises to model exams. She even conducted mock exams for us on the hearing and speaking modules.
