After 13+ years in Switzerland I finally enrolled myself in super intensive German lessons A1 and chose VOX based on stellar online reviews. I can fully echo all the positive reviews as the class sizes are small and ideal for learning and the instructors (Felicity) are extremely patient and awesome. Registration is a breeze and the central location makes it easily accessible via public transportation. Looking forward to A2 and I can definitely recommend VOX to anyone who is ready to learn German!

Had such a good experience with VOX. I e-mailed them very last-minute and they were able to get me in to lessons extremely quickly and were very prompt in their replies. My teacher, Isabelle, has been amazing - I have progressed extremely quickly under her guidance, and have had a great deal of fun doing it. I've had the opportunity to learn German A2 at Vox from May until August. My teacher Frau Jefremova was amazing, always punctual, well-prepared, and encouraged asking questions. It was a fun learning experience, done in an absolutely professional yet friendly and respectful environment. The focus on spoken part of language during the lessons actually took away the fear of speaking in public. Rest of the staff at school were also always willing to help and guide in matters of communication and information. Would definitely consider continuing further learning at Vox.

I highly recommend taking your German classes at VOX. And even more so I recommend requesting Alexander Lips as your teacher. Over the last year or so I've taken a few classes with Alexander (B1, B2, C1) and I've waited to make a review as I've been gate keeping his greatness. He is the best language instructor I've ever had and the most passionate. It is hard to stay motivated to study a language and it's hard to attend an evening course after work. But this isn't the case in Alexander's class. His expertise is inspiring. The course was completely tailored to our goals and our motivations. We explored poetry, books and presentations, all of which was frankly fun and enriching. We learned grammar, practiced speaking and reading, all while learning about history and art. I can also say I've read two books in German now which is super satisfying and it also gives me more to talk about to my friends in German. If anything I wish I had more time to learn and take advantage of Alexander's great instruction. Another very unique skill of Alexander's is his deep understanding of etymology and applying the skill to make words stick in your mind. He can break down words into components to then make connections to others words, languages, history, or stories. He shows the patterns to look for to do the same. There are words I'll never forget because he took the time to really give us the depth of the word. Such a talent to have! Huge thank you to VOX for such great organization and a huge thank you to Alexander for all the work and care he puts in his instruction. So, if you've read to here you should really go register already for a course!

I took a month long intensive B1 German course at VOX and it was the best experience I have had so far in my German learning! The class was small and personalised in a very convenient location in downtown Zurich. My teacher, Suzannah Higgs, was knowledgable, engaging and truly cared about my progression. I really noticed a difference in my level of comprehension and speech by the end of the course. I couldn't recommend it enough!
