I am American and was on vacation when I recently took a month of biweekly B1 German classes with VOX school in Zurich. It was a LOVELY experience. I enjoyed the diversity of students, and my teacher, Isabelle, Wegmuller, was absolutely exceptional. She had very original and creative ways of presenting new material and engaging the students. She has an astounding grasp of Hoch Deutsch and a vast well of knowledge about so many different things. The time past so quickly, too quickly, and I learned a lot in just a short period of time. Really enjoyed my time studying at Vox with 'one to one' lessons. My schedule was somewhat hectic and Vox were extremely accommodating and organised individual lessons. The teacher, Florian Leu, was great and extremely patient with me. I really benefitted from my time spent at Vox and will certainly undertake more lessons.

Last spring I enrolled to the B1 German course in a team of five and Alexander Lips as our teacher. I am very happy with my decision and I can definitely recommend it. Alexander is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge and experience. He was very supportive throughout the course and he always encouraged me to speak more and corrected my mistakes in a constructive way. He also gave me useful tips and tricks on how to pronounce words correctly and how to avoid common errors. He made the lessons fun and engaging by using different materials and activities. Alexander also explained the grammar rules clearly and thoroughly. He used simple and easy-to-understand examples to illustrate the concepts and showed me how to apply them in different contexts. He also provided me with exercises and homework to practice what I learned and to reinforce my knowledge. He always checked my answers and gave me feedback on how to improve them.
