I highly recommend taking your German classes at VOX. And even more so I recommend requesting Alexander Lips as your teacher. Over the last year or so I've taken a few classes with Alexander (B1, B2, C1) and I've waited to make a review as I've been gate keeping his greatness. He is the best language instructor I've ever had and the most passionate. It is hard to stay motivated to study a language and it's hard to attend an evening course after work. But this isn't the case in Alexander's class. His expertise is inspiring. The course was completely tailored to our goals and our motivations. We explored poetry, books and presentations, all of which was frankly fun and enriching. We learned grammar, practiced speaking and reading, all while learning about history and art. I can also say I've read two books in German now which is super satisfying and it also gives me more to talk about to my friends in German. If anything I wish I had more time to learn and take advantage of Alexander's great instruction. Another very unique skill of Alexander's is his deep understanding of etymology and applying the skill to make words stick in your mind. He can break down words into components to then make connections to others words, languages, history, or stories. He shows the patterns to look for to do the same. There are words I'll never forget because he took the time to really give us the depth of the word. Such a talent to have! Huge thank you to VOX for such great organization and a huge thank you to Alexander for all the work and care he puts in his instruction. So, if you've read to here you should really go register already for a course!

I'm currently taking an in-person German class with Lise, and the experience has been excellent. Lise is an amazing teacher—very supportive and always brings a lot of energy to the lessons. We have a lot of fun while learning, and I've gained so much from her classes. She uses a wide range of materials, including articles, special notes, and videos, which keeps things interesting and interactive. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I am American and was on vacation when I recently took a month of biweekly B1 German classes with VOX school in Zurich. It was a LOVELY experience. I enjoyed the diversity of students, and my teacher, Isabelle, Wegmuller, was absolutely exceptional. She had very original and creative ways of presenting new material and engaging the students. She has an astounding grasp of Hoch Deutsch and a vast well of knowledge about so many different things. The time past so quickly, too quickly, and I learned a lot in just a short period of time. I’ve had a great experience with my online German lessons, largely thanks to my teacher, Sara. In addition to being multilingual, she has a very well-structured approach to teaching that makes each lesson clear and effective. She skillfully draws associations with other languages to ensure new concepts are easy to understand. The pace of the lessons is well balanced, and the homework is always relevant and helpful for reinforcing what we’ve covered. As I’m coming to the end of my current lesson package, I’ve already purchased another one, which says a lot about the quality of the teaching. This is the third time I’ve started learning German, and I genuinely feel that I’ve now found the right school and the right teacher to stay motivated, especially given how challenging the language can be. Sara is patient, insightful, and tech-savvy, and her notes are exceptionally neat and easy to follow, making revision straightforward. My wife and I took online private lessons at Vox. Our sole aim was to pass the B1 Goethe test in all modules. Yvonne Vogt was our teacher and she was simply brilliant! Yvonne ordered the right materials for us starting from the textbooks to exercises to model exams. She even conducted mock exams for us on the hearing and speaking modules.
