The Common European Framework (CEFR) defines specific objectives for A1 level.
- Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
- Can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have.
- Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Course Description
It can be difficult to start learning a language as an adult, but our motivating and empathetic teachers will help you to overcome any fears or psychological hurdles you may have and enable you to use German with confidence. Your teacher will provide a supportive environment to give you the right start in your language learning journey.
In our “Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1” exam preparation course you will prepare for the exam while learning the basics of German. This exam preparation course will cover all aspects of the exam and you will become familiar with the structure of each section using materials specifically aimed at exam preparation in addition to materials on general grammar and vocabulary.
At VOX, we consider speaking the key tool you need to use and practise to successfully learn a language. Our small class sizes (3-5 people) enable you to get lots of speaking practice and individual attention to boost your confidence and make the grammar stick. Accurate pronunciation is a vital ingredient of smooth communication. Your teacher will help you learn to accurately pronounce German sounds that are new to you. At the end of the course you will be excellently prepared and be able to sit your first German exam with confidence and enthusiasm.

Enrolled on the intensive German course and it has been great fun. Learnt a lot more quickly than I was expecting. The small class format and focus on speaking has really made a difference. The teacher Ruben has been great and is always able to explain concepts in a way that make them more understandable and helps with learning. Well done from A to Z. First of all, I was impressed by the client service provided by Aida. She was very clear, professional and tried to accomodate my requests. After the trial lesson, I can just confirm the quality and the high level of the teaching provided by Vox. I am currently following an A2 German course with Sabrina. She is really prepared and with a great deal of passion in her job - I can guarantee you that it makes a very big difference when you are learning something new. Price is a bit higher compared to other schooIs, but it is money well spent.
I had the privilege to meet my teachers Kenny and Alex and learn German in a proactive and fun way. The best language school in Zürich. I took the German Goethe B1 for 1 year until September - and had success at the exams recently. Place and location superb, small group of classmates, a great teacher - Kathrine Spaar was knowledgeable, resourceful, kept us motivated and made the lessons interesting and fun(which is hard to do in German!). What made me though initially decide on this school was how open and flexible were to my special requests. I greatly appreciated that they continued to offer options and solutions to some personal issues I had during the course; every person I was in contact with was kind, responsive and eager to find a way to the best result - special kudos and thanXXX to Evgenia.
