Course Description
Our Telc Deutsch A2 preparation courses are perfect for those who already have a basic command of German (completed A1) and want to build on their knowledge in order to sit the Telc A2 exam. This course is ideal for non-EU nationals who need to show that their German skills are A2 level in order to obtain a Swiss C-permit. The Telc A2 exam is officially accepted for this purpose. In order to pass the exam, it is vital to not only have the required language skills, but also to fully familiarise yourself with the exam itself and practise.
In small groups (3-5 students), your teacher will help you improve your German skills to the appropriate level and will encourage you to speak with confidence. Your teacher will also help you to improve your accent because accurate pronunciation is a key part of smooth communication. In addition to improving your German, your experienced teacher will guide you through all parts of the exam and give you tips so you will be fully prepared. Our small groups ensure you receive enough attention and teachers are able to directly respond to your needs.

I had the chance to try two different German schools in Zurich, each with its own pricing and approach. Although both were good in their respective segments, I found Vox especially impressive for its pleasant learning environment and excellent facilities. He makes learning fun and engaging, adapting his methods to ensure everyone understands. For example, there were times I couldn’t attend class, and Alexander kindly offered one-on-one sessions to help me keep up with my classmates. I have just finished my Second Course with VOX Language school in Winterthur and I will be coming back for more in Winter 2022. Olga is a fantastic teacher working through the course at a good pace. Very personal service, good organization and high quality of the lessons, even if they were taught online. We covered a whole level within one course and I noticed the difference right away in real life conversations!!! Within a few weeks I was able to refresh all the knowledge I already had and actively build on this, which is exactly what my goal was! The lessons were in a small group, which is very nice as you meet new people and can practice together, but the group is still small enough to get personal attention. There is a very good balance between speaking, grammar and vocabulary in every lesson. As part of the course you get a book that is okay (I would like some more grammar explanation in the book, it is mostly exercises), however there are a lot of good exercises that we were not able to cover all during the course, which allows you to keep practicing even after the course. What I appreciated most is the tips from the teacher about common phrases and swiss terms, that only a native speaker can tell you and you definitelly do not get through platforms like DuoLingo that I was using before! All with all definitely very happy I joined the course :)
