Course Description
In the A1 course at VOX you will not only get started with the language, but also work on your goal, to start speaking actively as quickly as possible, according to your personal life situation. To achieve this, the grammar required for speaking will be explained to you in a simple and fun way using the VOX method, so that you can start using it immediately in your everyday life and use it as a foundation for further learning.

German B1 level objectives
The Common European Framework (CEFR) defines specific objectives for B1 level.
- Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
- Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Course Description
If you are ready to sit your first intermediate level exam for German, then this course is for you. This course is also perfect for those who want to gain Swiss citizenship and need to prove that they have B1-level speaking skills or for your C-permit.
In this course, you will progress from a basic to an independent user of German and you will be able to deal with most daily situations in German. Your experienced teacher will help you to improve your language skills and also develop strategies for tackling the different parts of the exam. Our classes are small (3-5 people). This small size means your teacher can adapt to you and your needs. This exam preparation course will cover all parts of the exam: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, language elements (vocabulary and grammar), writing and, naturally, VOX’s specialty, speaking, and will familiarise you with the structure of each section. By using Telc-specific exam preparation materials you will be fully prepared for the exam by the end of the course.

The price of a language course is always linked to the group size and the course content. We start group courses with only 2 people (max. 5) and aim to complete one level within one course.
I've been having an A1 German class with Yelyzaveta Berezovska for the past 3 months. Elly is an amazing teacher—her methods are so effective, and she’s incredibly patient. I like how she gamifies a lot of the exercises, making learning really fun and engaging. She’s always on top of everyone’s progress and is super conscious about where we all are with our knowledge. I love how she has a great way of pushing us to flex our brain muscles by encouraging us to use what we already know to mimic real-life situations as much as possible. After every class, I genuinely feel like I am making progress.
After 13+ years in Switzerland I finally enrolled myself in super intensive German lessons A1 and chose VOX based on stellar online reviews. After living about 10 years in Switzerland and having tried many different language schools, i have finally found a place to hone my German and Swiss German skills. Quite logical teaching method appeals to human brain memorization mechanisms, making language learning so natural, as it used to be with oneself's mother tongue in childhood time. I did B2 German course and I absolutely recommend it. The course with Agnieszka has been amazing! Aga's teaching style is fantastic and she always manages to make learning pleasant and fun. I definitely improved my grammar skills which was what I was hoping for. One of my favorite parts is that Aga always uses examples from real life so I could implement what I had learned in the very same evening during conversations with my friends and family. That boosts motivation a lot. Plus the more 'dramatic' expressions (such as: dieser Zug ist abgefahren, hier hört der Spass auf) make it easier to remember and are fun to use afterwards. We were often asked what we would like to do more so I can't say anything was missing. I really wouldn't know how to improve the course, it was already above my expectations :)
