Place and location superb, small group of classmates, a great teacher - Kathrine Spaar was knowledgeable, resourceful, kept us motivated and made the lessons interesting and fun(which is hard to do in German!). What made me though initially decide on this school was how open and flexible were to my special requests. I greatly appreciated that they continued to offer options and solutions to some personal issues I had during the course; every person I was in contact with was kind, responsive and eager to find a way to the best result - special kudos and thanXXX to Evgenia. I had a German A1 course in Vox, with Yelyzaveta Berezovska as a teacher. I am very satisfied with Elly's teaching approach. She was paying attention to each student's progress and helped us overcome the difficulties that we had with the material. The classes were structured well with short repetitions of the previously learned material, then learning new material, summarising what we had learned at the end of each class, and setting homework assignments. Besides following the workbook, there were a lot of interactive exercises that Elly had prepared herself, that challenged us to practice what we had learned. Also a lot of out of the book homework in addition. I had the feeling that I was progressing after each class. The workbook "Sprachniveau A1+ Begegnungen, Deutsch als Fremdsprache" by Anne Buscha and Szilvia Szita we used in the class was structured and thought through extremely well. What I like about the school is that there is an option to visit the classes online. This is really convenient not to miss classes when traveling. The online courses worked surprisingly well, as the school classrooms are equipped for online teaching as well and Elly was making sure that you feel like you are really in the classroom. I took German lessons with Ruben. Although I was only able to attend the lessons for a short time, I think I made significant progress. As someone with learning difficulties I find languages very difficult. I have private lessons in person and Fabian, my teacher, has helped so much in all aspects of my German. I had online German course B2 level . There were only 3 people in our class, so I had a lot more chance to talk in German. My teacher Isabel was very professional and friendly, I would definitely recommend her for the lesson. She always gave us the homeworks and sent us back correted answer quickly which helped me a lot as well. It costs quite a lot, but as there are not many students in a class, so it was worth it. Unfortunately, there was no administrations office in Winterthur branch, so it seems all enquries are done only with email or the telephone.
