Starting to learn a new language can be nerve-wracking, but our caring teachers will help you to overcome any fears you may have and help you to speak early and confidently in a supportive environment.
In our Telc Deutsch A1 exam preparation course you will not only learn the basics of German, but also prepare for the exam. This exam preparation course will cover all parts of the exam: reading, listening, writing and speaking, while also familiarising you with the structure of each section using materials specifically adapted to exam preparation. Your teacher will supplement the exam preparation with materials to improve your vocabulary and grammar.
At VOX, we believe that speaking is the key to learning a language well. Our small class sizes (3-5 people) enable you to get lots of speaking practice to boost your confidence and make the grammar stick. You will probably be surprised by how much you can learn to say by the end of the course. Your teacher will also pay close attention to your pronunciation to enable easier communication with German-speakers. By the end of the course you will be well prepared and feel confident about your first exam in German.

I had an excellent experience completing two intensive face-to-face courses (German B1 and B2) at this school. My teachers, Alys and Florian, were outstanding; they prioritized real-life conversation—which I found incredibly helpful—while consistently challenging us to expand our vocabulary. A unique advantage here is the teachers' deep familiarity with the local Swiss German dialect and culture, allowing them to share fascinating cultural insights alongside the curriculum. I've been very impressed with VOX Sprachschule Zürich. I started A1 classes in a small group lesson in February, then the pandemic hit and my courses were moved online.
