Flexible Arabic Courses at Zurich Central

I did B2 German course and I absolutely recommend it. The course with Agnieszka has been amazing! Aga's teaching style is fantastic and she always manages to make learning pleasant and fun. I definitely improved my grammar skills which was what I was hoping for. One of my favorite parts is that Aga always uses examples from real life so I could implement what I had learned in the very same evening during conversations with my friends and family. That boosts motivation a lot. Plus the more 'dramatic' expressions (such as: dieser Zug ist abgefahren, hier hört der Spass auf) make it easier to remember and are fun to use afterwards. We were often asked what we would like to do more so I can't say anything was missing. I really wouldn't know how to improve the course, it was already above my expectations :)

Very easy to find course type and time slots that will fit the needs of students. Positive, friendly atmosphere , no unnecessary stress about German;)

I started my course at VOX in August, and within a few months I found a better job. The German course was very dynamic. With small classes, we could easily ask questions and practice conversation. I stayed with the teacher, Ieva Jefremova, and you can tell she loves what she does and explains very well. The best choice I made, without a doubt.

I highly recommend taking your German classes at VOX. And even more so I recommend requesting Alexander Lips as your teacher. Over the last year or so I've taken a few classes with Alexander (B1, B2, C1) and I've waited to make a review as I've been gate keeping his greatness. He is the best language instructor I've ever had and the most passionate. It is hard to stay motivated to study a language and it's hard to attend an evening course after work. But this isn't the case in Alexander's class. His expertise is inspiring. The course was completely tailored to our goals and our motivations. We explored poetry, books and presentations, all of which was frankly fun and enriching. We learned grammar, practiced speaking and reading, all while learning about history and art. I can also say I've read two books in German now which is super satisfying and it also gives me more to talk about to my friends in German. If anything I wish I had more time to learn and take advantage of Alexander's great instruction. Another very unique skill of Alexander's is his deep understanding of etymology and applying the skill to make words stick in your mind. He can break down words into components to then make connections to others words, languages, history, or stories. He shows the patterns to look for to do the same. There are words I'll never forget because he took the time to really give us the depth of the word. Such a talent to have! Huge thank you to VOX for such great organization and a huge thank you to Alexander for all the work and care he puts in his instruction. So, if you've read to here you should really go register already for a course!

For professional reasons, I enrolled in the course with a ''private'' teacher, Joline. My goal was to be able to erase some mistakes I kept repeating and to hone my skills in dative and accusative. I am so glad that I ended up with Evgeniya as my German teacher! Her lessons were really clear, very well structured and prepared, and thoughtfully tailored to my level and goals. She has an incredible way of explaining things and guiding me to understand my mistakes when speaking—I also particularly loved the warm-up poem readings and tongue twisters! Her patience, encouragement, and deep knowledge made a huge difference in my learning progress, especially when you’re learning a challenging language like German. I didn’t have the best experience when I first started—group classes and the first teacher just weren’t a good fit for me—but once I was switched to individual lessons with Evgeniya, everything changed for the better! I felt motivated, supported, and today feel like I truly progressed with my B2 level.
