I had the chance to try two different German schools in Zurich, each with its own pricing and approach. Although both were good in their respective segments, I found Vox especially impressive for its pleasant learning environment and excellent facilities. Later, I had the privilege of learning with Professor Alexander, who truly goes above and beyond for his students. He makes learning fun and engaging, adapting his methods to ensure everyone understands. What really stood out to me about this school is that you genuinely feel they care about their students and are not just running a business. For example, there were times I couldn’t attend class, and Alexander kindly offered one-on-one sessions to help me keep up with my classmates. For my experience as student pf multiple Languages in multiple countries I find the quality of VOX really outstanding. I had 2 different teachers and they were both very very good and prepared.
Awesome class
I took the standard B1 level class (Dienstag und Donnerstag Abendkurs) with Elena. She was a wonderful teacher and taught the grammar rules in a way I really understood. She also consistently corrected my Aussprache, which I appreciated (strong American accent here). Moreover, I was thankful for her help with my special request to prepare me for the Telc B1 test. Furthermore, I liked the availability of the Abendkurs (19:30-21:00) because I was able to attend after work. The standard class also covered a lot of material in 3 months. I recommend it if you can dedicate a generous amount of time to study.
I had a great experience learning German at Vox. I have visited multiple schools in Zürich, Vox is so far the best language school in town. Many thanks for offering the top quality, for being flexible and for your effort to make the customers happy.
Had such a good experience with VOX. I e-mailed them very last-minute and they were able to get me in to lessons extremely quickly and were very prompt in their replies. My teacher, Isabelle, has been amazing - I have progressed extremely quickly under her guidance, and have had a great deal of fun doing it. I would wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend her and VOX.
I had the pleasure of attending both a group course and individual private lesson with Vox Sprache. In both cases, I had the opportunity to practise and improve my speaking skills. There is difference between learning theory and actually articulating the language. I like to share that my private lessons with Isabelle have been such a positive experience. She prepared and tailored the lessons specifically for my needs. She was consistently attentive to help me improve my language skills. As a result of this experience, I feel more comfortable communicating with native speakers and better prepared for my B1 mündlichen Prüfung. My experience with VOX has been overall very positive and I cannot stress enough how their format of teaching to a maximum of 4 people at a time helps students developing their linguistic skills faster: you have more time to speak, to ask questions and to interact with your co-students. Isabelle has been a fantastic teacher. I attended A1 and A2 German courses with her. She was always ready to help whenever I needed assistance and answered my questions super quickly every time.
