These terms and conditions apply to all offers made by VOX-Sprachschule.
The following applies as a legally valid registration:
the registration form signed by you
your email or verbal acceptance of the registration, after our confirmation
the online quotation accepted by you
A legally valid enrollment binds you to pay the course fees. Not paying the course fees does not count as a cancellation.
You can join the course up to 4 weeks after course start (in some cases throughout the whole course). The course fee is calculated from the actual first date of participation on an hourly basis.
A shorter participation period of the course is possible, as long as there are 3 or more students in the class and given this has been agreed with the school management during the registration.
Postponements and Cancellations for People Residing in Switzerland
A postponement/cancellation of your course will only be accepted up to 14 days before the course start. If you cancel a course within 13th and 8th calendar day before the start of a given course, you will be required to pay 30% of the price of the course. From the 7th calendar day before the course start date, you will be expected to pay 80% of the price of the course. Once the course has started, no reduction or refund will be given.
Postponements and Cancellations for Foreigners Who do not Reside in Switzerland
VOX-Sprachschule is not taking any responsibility for providing a visa or a residence permit to anyone planning to come to Switzerland. If you cancel a course, due to any reason (rejected visa or residence permit, change of plans, etc.) more than 7 calendar days before the start of a given course, you will have to pay 30% of the price of the course. From the 7th calendar day before the course start date, will be expected to pay 80% of the price of the course. Once the course has started, no reduction or refund will be given.
Cancellation of Private Lessons During an Individual Course
It may occasionally be unavoidable to cancel a private lesson but we ask you to do this 24 hours before the agreed lesson time. Private lessons which are not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice will be charged. Up to 5 cancellations are allowed per month, and they must be rescheduled within the same month, otherwise they are considered as missed. Longer breaks (vacation, business trip, etc.) must be communicated to the school at lest 2 weeks upfront. If more flexibility is required the school will try to offer a reasonable solution, for example, changing the teacher, taking lessons online while away, moving the whole course to some future date.
Internal Course Cancellation
In order to be able to organize courses under optimal conditions, the minimum number of participants is set to 3. Per course a maximum of 5 persons are admitted. If the number of participants falls below the defined minimum, the course will be canceled or started only if participants agree to pay an additional fee or to modify the schedule. We reserve the right to change the teacher, as well as postpone, merge or redistribute classes.
Payment Conditions and Credit Notes
The course must be paid before it starts and within 10 days after the invoice date. If upon receipt of the bill the course has already started or starts within less than 10 days, the bill will immediately become due for payment. If the payment didn’t happen after the invoice’s due date, the client would receive a payment reminder by e-mail and by post free of cost with 5 days limit to execute the payment.
If the payment is not executed, the client will receive a 2nd payment reminder with additional fees of CHF 20.- applied for handling the overdue payment and additional time of 5 days to settle the payment. If the 2nd reminder is ignored, the client will receive a 3rd reminder and additional late payment fees of CHF 30.- applied with a limit of 5 days to settle the overdue amount. If the 3rd reminder is ignored, the debt enforcement process will be initiated without further notice. The debt enforcement procedures will include all the previous fees and additionally late payment interests of 10% per year from the total amount calculated since the invoice became overdue. We reserve the right to claim additional financial damages.
Our credit entries in your customer account are valid for 3 years from the entry date; they cannot be redeemed after that period.
Our school takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and will strictly adhere to the codes and regulations of data protection law. Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold or forwarded to a third party.
