TELC
The VOX Language School is a certified TELC examination center. We offer both group and individual lessons to prepare you as best as possible for the TELC exams, which you can take directly with us.
TELC certificates are required for integration and residence permits (A1, A2, B1), obtaining Swiss citizenship (B1), professional activities (B1, B2), access to universities (C1), and recognition of foreign diplomas (B2, C1).
Exam preparation
Our highly qualified teachers have a university background in linguistics and experience in the preparation for TELC language exams. Their expertise and experience ensure support for your success in language exams. Preparation is offered both in group courses and in individual lessons.

- Test takers engage in tasks that assess both receptive and productive skills. Receptive skills are evaluated through reading and listening comprehension tasks, along with a language elements section. These tasks include multiple-choice questions and text matching. Productive skills are assessed through written and oral tasks, where test takers respond to specific prompts in either written or spoken form. The vocabulary and topics are centered around everyday situations.

During the oral examination, emphasis is placed on direct interaction between the candidates.

I was really happy and satisfied with the German course at VOX. In the beginning, they were very supportive in selecting the right location and dates suitable for me to start the course. I joined a group of 5 people. Elly is the best teacher I ever had. She was preparing for all courses really carefully, always figuring out new ways of teaching and learning by different activities, which made the courses very interesting and enjoyable. At the same time, we were improving quickly. VOX is taking students' feedback very seriously in order to enhance their services. I can only recommend to learn a language here.

Review from my partner Kathleen Izzat I do feel that I am moving towards my goals with this language course and there is enough speaking practice. The lessons are interesting and Priska is very friendly and patient, often encouraging the students to find or to work out the correct answer by ourselves initially, then using help from co-students before stepping in to assist and advise. We are given plenty of relevant, everyday examples of the language in use and are supported well when we try to use German to describe our own experiences and thoughts. Looking back through the course book I can see that the new information being provided very cleverly flows throughout each chapter, as well as from chapter to chapter - it’s a well written course book. I would however, as a memory aid, prefer the book to be more colourful (for example, as in Hueber’s Schritte plus series) but that’s just my own preference. It’s not a problem though and it forces me to make my own notes, but that does take up a lot of home time on this intensive course. Overall though I am very pleased with this course
I had the chance to try two different German schools in Zurich, each with its own pricing and approach. Although both were good in their respective segments, I found Vox especially impressive for its pleasant learning environment and excellent facilities. From the start, I was supported by Maria, who made my onboarding smooth and welcoming. Later, I had the privilege of learning with Professor Alexander, who truly goes above and beyond for his students. He makes learning fun and engaging, adapting his methods to ensure everyone understands. What really stood out to me about this school is that you genuinely feel they care about their students and are not just running a business. For example, there were times I couldn’t attend class, and Alexander kindly offered one-on-one sessions to help me keep up with my classmates. For every language we teach at VOX-Sprachschule, we focus on speaking, as it is the most natural form of communication. Many people concentrate on writing and reading, which prevents them from feeling like they are making progress in their target language. We try to approach this learning process differently: when you train yourself to speak first, grammar simply becomes a tool to support you in your language-learning journey. Reading and writing should come naturally, while speaking needs to be practiced at least 15 minutes a day.
